Thomas Indermühle
 

Indermühle is definitely one of the most important figures in the oboe music world today. One can find nearly any piece from the oboe repertoire recorded by him on CDs and his students on principal positions in many leading orchestras in the world.

 

Thomas Indermühle has appeared as a soloist regularly since the mid-’70s at major concert venues in almost all European countries, in the US, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Korea and Australia. The number of recordings made by him is really imposing. His discography consists of more than 50 CDs on different labels including Camerata Records, EMI, Novalis and others, after winning the ARD competition in 1976. Thomas Indermühle has been responsible for oboe class at the Zürich Conservatoire since 1984 and is oboe professor at the Staatliche Hochschule fur Musik in Karlsruhe.

Prof. Indermühle is the Principal guest teacher in the Oboe class at CSMIB and the artistic director of the Oboe Festival Palma

Dudu Carmel
 

Carmel is a winner of the 1996 International Oboe Competition in Toulon, France and the 1990 François Shapira prize in Israel. He serves as principal oboist of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, and he is faculty member of the Winds Department at both the Jerusalem Academy of Music and the Buchmann-Mehta School of Music, Tel Aviv University.

 

Carmel is one of the founders of The Oboe Festival in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. Dudu Carmel has been giving yearly master-classes there in addition to master classes he gives around the globe. Between the years 1992-1997, he was the principal oboist of the New Israeli Opera Orchestra, and since 1998 he has been playing as a guest oboist with the Budapest Festival orchestra.

Petar Hristov
 

Petar Hristov studied in the soloist class of  Thomas Indermühle at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany. He is laureate of several competitions for oboe and chamber music in New York, Prague, Karlsruhe, Mannheim, Petritoli, Verona and is winner of the music prize of the german broadcasting corporation SWR and the german state Rheinland-Pfalz. He has made guest appearances and first performances of modern music at music festivals for contemporaty music in Austria, Swiss, Spain, Poland, Germany, France, Japan, Brazil. Hristov is one of the founders of The Oboe Festival in Palma, he performed with numerous orchestras such as the Munich Chamber Orchestra, Bulgarian National Radio, Bulgarian National Opera, Opera Frankfurt, Sinfonietta Cologne, Orchestre symphonique de Mulhouse, Sinfonietta Basel. CD productions for the german, swiss and bulgarian radio. Petar Hristov teaches at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, Germany.

Pilar Fontalba

“J’ai pu constater les grandes qualités instrumentales et la fortepersonnalité de cette interprète”  (Pierre Boulez) Studied at the Madrid Highschool, and at the Zürich University of Arts under Prof. Indermühle (Masters of Arts in Music Performance Konzert and Soloist). Recommended by Heinz Holliger, she participated several times in the Lucerne Academy Festival with Pierre Boulez and the Ensemble Intercontemporain. She was invited by Pierre Boulez to play as soloist (under his direction) in the opening concert of AgoraFestival 2004, Centre Pompidou, Paris. Several composers wrote for her. She grounded Ensemble Laboratorium in 2004 and since 2006 is member of Ensemble Phoenix in Basilea (Switzerland). She played with Ensemble Modern, Ensemble Recherche, Ensemble Intercontemporain, Ensemble Koan2, Ensemble Cort-Circuit…

Pilar Fontalba was teacher at Islas Baleares Highschool since 2004 until 2019. She is Solo Oboe of the Symphony Orchestra Navarra. She received the Hegar Preis (Zürich) and the Prix Superieur Inter-regional from Grand-Est in France

Bruno Lucas

Lucas completed his studies at the Balearic Island Conservatory, under Prof. Thomas Indermühe & Pilar Fontalba class, obtaining his BA with honours. He continued his studies at the prestigious Zürich University of Arts in the class of Thomas Indermühle, where he completed an MA in Music Performance with top qualifications. Bruno finalised his studies in 2016 with the Soloist Diplom under Prof. Jaime Gonzalez’s at the University of the Arts, Bern

 

Awarded by the Associazione Mozart Italia and the Dienemann Music Competition. Luzern, Switzerland 2014. This young musician has performed with some orchestras across Europe.

Additionally, he is presently continuing his teaching career as the Oboe and Chamber Music teacher at the Conservatori Superior de Música de les Illes Balears
